Let me know if you are interested in brewing some beer. I have a 10 gallon set up, enough for two batches at a time, and some extra kettles. This would be an all-day weekend event for all-grain. I will need some lead time, and perhaps some help at a hacknight to pull out and re-test my equipment which has been dormant for several years. I have two Cajun cookers, at least one of which still works. The other might be repaired. If you have spare propane regulator/hoses, it would help. (Rubber may have rotted from disuse). I have several large stainless vessels, including chopped off kegs. I also have some un-chopped kegs which I can make available to somebody willing to chop them.

I have a small grain mill, but it takes a while. Some pre-ground grain might help. I used to have a counter-flow chiller, but found it too much trouble. I now have a simple immersion coil that would need to be checked. The immersion chiller is not as fast as counter-flow, but easier to work with.

I think we could pipeline two batches reasonably, beer for 4 people. I am short on fermentation vessels, so bring your own carbouy or food-grade bucket.Let me know if you are interested in brewing some beer. We will need to coordinate on recipes, and need a few week’s notice to order and start propagating some yeasts.

It might be good to contact the Dukes of Ale and see if anybody from there would be interested in helping.

I use a commercial controller on a fridge for fermenting in summer. In winter, a plain old electric heater, with thermostat, will do.

What temperatures will this go to? Will it go to like 150F?

Either way... I'm interested in learning more about things like Arduino, and I may want to do something like make a temp control for my new smoker. It would need some sort of thermal probe, and servos to control air baffles.
