[Edit: Arduino class has been rescheduled to Saturday March 21 due to shipping delays from winter superstorm Thor, if you are registered on Eventbrite you should have already received an email about this schedule change, and you are still registered to attend the event on the new day of Saturday March 21.]
This coming Saturday, we’re having an Arduino class! Some people don’t have an arduino though and didn’t order a kit with their ticket (or found out about it late.) For those of us who are willing to throw some money at the problem, here’s a few options! These are all available with Amazon’s 2-day prime shipping. You can get overnight shipping and, if you’re super desperate some have same-day shipping.
- For those who want the whole shebang official Arduino kit that’s sold by Adafruit (and previously RadioShack), Amazon has you covered for $125.
- For those of us who’re on a slightly tighter budget, you can get a fairly comprehensive kit (with a book) for $55
- Slightly cheaper (and different) is the SunFounder starter kit for Arduino at $40.
- If you’d like to do everything yourself (and that’s totally all right to us!) you can get an Arduino Uno clone for $13 and choose between
- getting some jumpers and a breadboard for $10, or
- getting a few breadboards to do whatever with for $6 for those who’re willing to cut their own wires.
- Or get both! You can never have too many breadboards!
You should order by Tuesday if you’re using 2-day shipping and Wednesday if you’re using next-day shipping!
